you're our

VOLUNTEERS

If YOU can,

WE do!

We love volunteers who DON'T follow the crowd!

To volunteer means as many things as there are people on the planet - for some, chance to pay it forward, for others a way to achieve something personally important to them, for many the opportunity to improve their own life -  meeting new people, going to new places, learning new skills, gaining experience with some future currency.

For many it is also a way to improve their own wellbeing - keeping minds and bodies occupied, holding healthy habits and routines, distraction from life's problems.

And for all, it is chance to leave a footprint on the lives of others - growing happiness and filling up humanity one small bite-sized piece at a time.

For us, we couldn't BE without you.  We don't define volunteering in any one specific way.  If you have an idea, we'll explore it.  If we have an idea and you want to explore it with us, then welcome!

01

JOIN AN EVENT

Participate in one of our awareness or fundraising activities - get friends, families and colleagues involved, help us to promote it and support us on the day. Volunteer to help run the event - marshalls at races, help with catering.  Click below to see some of the events you can help support.

02

CREATE YOUR OWN ACTIVITY

Have an idea for raising awareness about mental health, wellbeing or raising some funds to help our work? Small is beautiful - from a coffee morning, clothes swap, ladies night, ball, local running group to cutting your hair for sponsorhship - if you, your workplace or friends want to give it a go, we'll support you all the way with materials, resources, planning help and promotion.

OFFER YOUR SKILLS

We have a wide range of positions to use your skills working with vulnerable people who are facing the worst time of their lives. From trades people to help with our All Call Trades scheme, to group facilitators, youth social action leaders, counsellors, therapists, sports activity coaches and befrienders to visit isolated and lonely people to extend friendship and kindness.

04

JOIN A SOCIAL ACTION TEAM

If you'd like to have a regular group to work on volunteering projects in your community, we can involve you in one of our social action clubs. If there isn't one in your area, we can support you to set one up and help you run it properly.  We especially want to support youth social action teams for young people.

We believe volunteering is as important for you as it is for us and the people who need our support. Volunteering is about growing you as a person, investing in you so you gain useful skills (and qualifications if you want them), to help you gain paid employment and start new careers or business enterprise.

And, most importantly, it is about YOUR wellbeing - being valued, discovering your talents, receiving friendship and getting chance to do things that boost your confidence and help with your own mental and physical health.  We hope volunteering with us will build you and reward you.

There is no single type of volunteer at Wellbeing in Action.  We'll work around you - finding ways to include you and give you chance to develop your own ideas into projects and activities with our support.

Get in touch today to have an informal chat about volunteering.  Email:  wellbeingaction@gmail.com and we will contact you at a convenient time.

Welcome to our team.
